The Working Group on Prison and Probation is a nationwide network of around 30 civil society organisations that implement democracy promotion and extremism prevention programmes in the prison system and in support services for offenders. The Working Group on Prison and Probation is coordinated by Violence Prevention Network.
The services offered by the Prison and Probation Working Group include (online) training courses, specialist conferences and publications. The aim is to promote interdisciplinary exchange in the field and to increase the visibility of civil society expertise in the prison system.
